General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may have reached the final breaking point in their marriage. Sonny was anxious to tell Carly that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) had confessed to drugging him last Thanksgiving and that they had in fact not slept together.

So anxious, that he did not notice that Carly answered the door dressed in her robe or the bottle of wine with two glasses sitting on the coffee table.
Ignoring Carly’s protests, Sonny continued to urge for reconciliation… until Jax (Ingo Rademacher) emerged from the bedroom sporting perfectly rumpled hair and an unbuttoned shirt.
After some pretty harsh words were exchanged, Sonny declared that he and Carly are officially over. But how many times have we heard that in just the last six months?
CarSon’s marriage has been on a rapid downward spiral after the death of their child, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) back in October of last year.
It has been a rollercoaster of emotions and reckless actions for the couple as they struggled to cope with the death of Morgan, which on some level, Carly still holds Sonny to be accountable for.

Despite being cleared of any legal wrongdoing, Carly still feels conflicted about the ongoing fallout from Sonny’s lifestyle and how it affects their children. This is an obstacle that will likely always exist in their relationship. But what if Morgan is still alive? With a body never being recovered, it certainly leaves the door open for the character to make a return some day. General Hospital spoilers have also indicated that Bryan Craig would be open to coming back in a non-contract role. Would Morgan returning into the fold be enough to reunite Sonny and Carly?
Morgan is their only biological child together, a fact that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) recently pointed out during a heartfelt conversation with his little sister Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and one not to be discounted.

CarSon fiercely loves all of their children, but losing their only child together has clearly shattered a bond between the two. Morgan was always very passionate but very troubled, which often times pushed Carly and Sonny together in an effort to help support their son with his battles against bi-polar disorder.
Would a sense of obligation to put the family back together and provide a united front for Morgan be enough to heal all of the many wounds that Carly and Sony have inflicted on each other in the aftermath of grieving? Or has the damage done to CarSon’s marriage since Morgan’s death gone past the point of repairing, even if Morgan turns out to be alive and well?
