General Hospital RECAP Wednesday May 3: Maxie Not Returning – Tracy’s Shocking Announcement – Carly Reveals Martina’s Her Lawyer

Wednesday’s May 3 episode of General Hospital begins with Tracy (Jane Elliott) telling Edwards’s picture she knows exactly where the painting should go. Tracy makes a call saying she needs a transaction to be arranged with specific requirements. Tracy wants it done by the end of today. Dillon (Robert Palmer Watkins) walks in. Tracy tells him about her ‘dream” and she’s at peace with herself now.

Kiki (Hayley Erin) tells Carly (Laura Wright) she needs the menus for the Nurses Ball. Carly staring at her wedding rings. Carly tells Kiki how Joss (Eden McCoy) wants her to stop wearing them. Carly mentions divorce proceedings. Kiki tells her a wise woman once said “I never hated a man enough to give him back his diamonds”.

Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) wakes up to find Ned working as they lay in bed. Olivia goes back to sleep. Ned (Wally Kurth) places the petition for name change on the night stand and turns the light out.

Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) at the Metro Court telling Olivia and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) how the Nurses Ball sneaks up on her every year. Olivia has to leave to go Tracy’s.

Nathan walks up and tells Dante that Maxie is coming home in a few hours. He hired someone to clean the apartment and has romantic plans for them. Maxie calls Nathan and he steps away to take the call. Nathan returns saying Maxie was offered a job opportunity she couldn’t refuse. She’s staying in Portland and not coming back anytime soon. Dante and Lucy try to reassure him.

Carly arrives to the Haunted Star. Lulu (Emme Ryan) tells Carly she has to leave to go to Tracy’s. They discuss Carly’s divorce. Carly feels Sonny has plenty of money that he can’t bring into the US. So serves him right to live outside of US because Jax has to. Lulu goes to the back room.

Carly hears a loud noise and walks to see what it was. Carly tries to open the door to the room Martina and Sonny are in but it’s locked. Lulu stops Carly telling her that room is reserved for the weekend. Carly mentions her wedding rings and Lulu tells her take them off when she’s ready. Carly is glad Sonny is still wearing his. Lulu says maybe there’s still hope.

Kiki (Hayley Erin) arrives to Tracy’s and Tracy tells Monica (Leslie Charleson) she’s throwing a brunch and has an important announcement. Finn (Michael Easton), Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and Olivia arrive. Ned announces he is changing his last name from Ashton to Quartermaine. His name will be Edward Lawrence Quartermaine. Lulu arrives and Tracy updates her on Ned’s name change. Tracy explains how she obtained the painting. Laura (Genie Francis) tells Tracy she knew she would do the right thing in the end. Tracy tearfully says the letter from Edward set her free. It’s time for her to step out of Edward’s shadow and announces she’s leaving.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Martina (Daya Vaidya) are in her room at the Haunted Star. As they fall in bed Sonny’s wedding ring lands on the floor. Sonny and Martina introduce themselves to each other. Neither regrets what happened. Sonny says it was great distraction for what he has to do today. Martina mentions she has a meeting in one hour. Sonny says they still have time. His feet accidentally knock the radio off to the floor. Martina is getting dressed and tells Sonny she’s only in town for a week. Work will keep her busy. They agree if they ever bump into each other again to see how it goes.

Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) arrives to the divorce hearing and Carly is there. Carly tells Diane she’ll give Sonny’s assets back to him after Jax can return to the US. Carly starts crying. Sonny arrives and Carly starts to tell him she’s giving them back but sees he’s not wearing wedding ring. Carly takes her wedding rings off and wants to get started. Martina walks in and Carly says here’s my lawyer. Carly notices Sonny and Martina are staring oddly at each other.
