General Hospital Recap July 24: Shots Fired – Spencer’s Kidnapper Revealed – Jason Frees Valentin – Sam Carries Out Evil Sonny Plot

Monday’s July 24 episode of General Hospital begins with Dante (Dominic Zamprogan) telling Nathan (Ryan Peavey) to go home and get some sleep. Nathan has been working all night at the PCPD trying to find Spencer (Nicholas Bechtel). Oscar (Garrett Stitt) arrives to the PCPD and tells Dante he has information on Spencer. Oscar tells Dante about a game Spencer was playing earlier with post-it’s. Oscar leaves. Valerie (Brytni Sarpy) and Dante work together searching camera footage and find an abandoned house near the park. Dante arrives to the basement and only finds Spencer’s broken glasses.

Joss (Eden McCoy) wants to help with the search for Spencer but Carly (Laura Wright) says the search can go on without her. Carly tells Joss to invite Oscar over so she can meet him. Oscar arrives carrying flowers and gives both bouquets to Carly. Carly would give him a tour of the house but he has already been there drinking illegally.

Oscar wants to make up for his first bad impression. He says his friend gave him the alcohol. Carly mentions Joss having one kidney. Oscar promises never to drink alcohol again and says Joss is his only friend in town. Oscar mentions giving Dante information on Spencer. Oscar gets a text from his Mom and leaves. Joss is embarrassed Carly told him about her kidney but thanks Carly with a hug. Later Joss tells Oscar that Carly will allow her to see him. Oscar mentions water skiing and other summer activities they can do together.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) receives a text message with a picture of Spencer being held in a basement. The kidnapper tells Sonny how much money to bring and where to meet. Sonny arrives to the site and Garvey (Rick Ravanell) shoots him. Sonny falls face down to the ground. Garvey walks over and Sonny shoots him. Sonny threatens to kill Garvey unless he tells him where Spencer is. Garvey gives Sonny his phone and tells him where to find Spencer. Sonny starts to call police but Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrives. As Sonny is telling Sam to text Jason, Garvey moves and Sonny shoots him in the leg. Sonny tells Sam let’s leave but Sam pulls a gun and refuses. Sam makes Sonny toss his gun. Sam points her gun and says “Now you die Sonny”!

Jason (Billy Miller) throws water on Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and demands to know where Spencer is. Valentin says it’s a lot of work for nothing because he didn’t take Spencer. Jason pulls a knife. Valentin is able to convince Jason he wouldn’t hurt a child. Jason unties Valentin and leaves. Valentin calls Charlotte to say he’s on his way to pick her up.

Mac (John J. York) and Nathan are at the Floating Rib. Mac tells Nathan about purchasing a gift for Felecia (Kristina Wagner) and getting romance advice from Man Landers. Nathan flashes back to his radio interview pretending to be Man Landers. Mac leaves. Nathan calls Amy (Risa Dorken) and says they have a problem. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) walks up and says she agrees.

Carly arrives to Sonny’s house to find Jason. Jason informs her Valentin didn’t take Spencer. The guards stated Sonny left the house earlier but doesn’t know where he went.
