General Hospital Recap July 12: Carly Schemes Against Nelle – Sam Plans to Take Out Sonny – Spencer Shuts Down Valentin

Wednesday’s July 12 episode of General Hospital begins with Carly (Laura Wright) telling Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) about Michael (Chad Duell) bringing Nelle (Chloe Lanier) to the wedding. Carly updates Bobbie on Joss (Eden McCoy) and Sonny (Maurice Benard). Bobbie reminds Carly each time she tries to start a life with Sonny something goes wrong. Carly upset that Michael defended Nelle. Carly want to find way to get Nelle away from Michael before she hurts him. Bobbie calls Felecia and asks her to dig up dirt on Nelle.

Nina (Michelle Stafford) arrives to work and Nelle tells her they’re someone waiting in her office. Julian (William deVry) tells Nina he’s back and the party is over. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) arrives and Nelle explains she has someone in her office. Valentin offers Nelle the Nanny Job again. Nelle declines she prefers working for Nina.
Julian just wanted to check the numbers on Crimson and leaves. Valentin tells Nina he wants to purchase an ad to advertise his new nonprofit to rehabilitate race horses and he named it after her. Nina mentions Spencer missing his Father and this nonprofit doesn’t help him.

Valentin leaves and Nina tells Nelle next time Julian arrives to call her immediately. Nina tells Nelle about the nonprofit but she’s divorced and doesn’t care what Valentin does. Nina admits she stills loves Valentin but it’s not enough.
Laura (Genie Francis) tells Kevin (Jon Lindstorm) she wishes Spencer would do other activities besides practicing his lines for the play. Kevin feels Spencer focusing on his birth right is a way to keep Nicholas in his life. It’s almost one year anniversary of Nicholas’s death and today will be difficult for everybody. Kevin asks if it helps to know Valentin is gone. Julian walks over and informs them about seeing Valentin at Crimson. Laura calls Lulu and learns she already knew.
Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel) in the park practicing his lines for the Hamlet. Joss walks over and they discuss Hamlet. Spencer prefers to keep rehearsing than roast marshmallows at Lila’s Camp. Oscar (Garren Stitt) joins them. Joss tries to get Spencer to join her and Oscar but he declines. Spencer starts practicing again when Valentin arrives.
Valentin tries to give Spencer a ring as a peace offering. Spencer tells Valentin he is dead wrong if he thinks this would make up for killing his Father. Kevin and Laura arrive. Laura tells Valentin to stay away from Spencer. Spencer tells Valentin to keep the ring he’ll make his own good luck.
Sonny offers Jason (Billy Miller) a chance to partner with him on a legit business venture. Sam (Kelly Monaco) has a vision of Sonny saying look us he and Jason doing business just like old times. The closer Jason is to Sonny the farther he’s away from Sam and closer to death. Sam says “stop it” out loud and Jason asks if she’s okay. Sam scrambles for a reply and leaves. Sonny offers Jason to partner with him but Jason declines. Sonny will approach Michael but leaves the papers with Jason to read over. Sonny gets a call from Diane and says he’ll get the information to someone right away.
Sonny arrives to the park and tells Joss he needs to tell her something. Joss doesn’t want to talk to him. Oscar tells Sonny to leave Joss alone or there’s going to be a problem.
Sam arrives to the Metro Court and tells Julian she needs a favor. She fears Sonny will convince Jason to start working for him again. Julian tells Sam she needs to get rid of Sonny. Sam has another vision. She asks Julian not to tell anyone about their conversation. Sam leaves and makes a phone call to make a purchase.
Sam arrives homes and asks about the business papers. Jason explains he’s not going back to work for Sonny. Jason goes upstairs to check on Scout. Sam has another vision of Sonny asking her if she really believes Jason. Sam says it doesn’t matter and pulls a gun out of her back pocket.
