General Hospital POLL: Who Is Crazier? Heather Webber or Olivia Jerome? VOTE!

Port Charles has certainly had its share of villains, femme fatales, and just plain crazies: There was Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), Heather Webber (Georganne LaPiere, May O’Brien, Robin Mattson) Anthony Zacchara (Bruce Weitz), Faith Rosco (Cynthia Preston), Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Joy Brown), and of course Helena Cassadine (Elizabeth Taylor, Dimitra Arliss, Constance Towers) just to name few. Recently however, fans have been treated to the latest Villainess, Liv St John AKA Liv Jerome (Tonja Walker), Julian Jerome (William DeVry) and Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) big sister. Once thought dead, shot in the back by her little brother Julian all those many years ago. Recently caught and handed over to the PCPD, Liv will probably join Heather Webber at D’Archam facility for the criminally insane. These two” ladies” have some things in common.

Heather Webber

19-year-old Heather Grant came to Port Charles in the summer of 1976. She got a job as a nanny and became obsessed with Doctor Jeff Webber (Dean Anderson) who was married to Monica (Patsy Rahn) at the time. The two eventually slept together and Heather became pregnant with Jeff’s child. Heather fakes suicide to win Jeff’s love but he refuses to leave his wife. At some point, Heather decides she does not want the child and ends of selling him for ten thousand dollars. Eventually Jeff and Heather marry and she makes several attempts to retrieve her baby by driving his adopted mother insane. Throughout the years, Heather has been involved in many schemes involving the poor people of Port Charles: She attempted to extort money from the Quartermains, attempted and failed to seduce Alan Quartermain (Stuart Damon), pretended to be possessed by Lila’s Quartermans (Anna Lee) spirit to convince Edward Quartermain (David Lewis) to marry her so that she could obtain his fortune. Became obsessed with Doctor Steven Webber (Scott Reeves) and then Luke Spencer Anthony Geary). Tried to kill Anna Devanne (Finola Hughes) to win Luke’s affections. Kidnaped Carly Jacks (Laura Wright) with the intention of killing her and framing her son Franco (Roger Howarth) for the murder. Shot her son Franco in another escape attempt. Heather has been in and out of several mental institutions, by escape or faking sanity. During her last escape, she drugged Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) at the nurses’ ball in 2016.

Olivia Jerome

Olivia Jerome, AKA Olivia St John is the daughter of the late mob boss Victor Jerome (Jack Axelrod), who was the head of the Jerome crime family in Port Charles during the 1980’s. Olivia or Liv was Presumed dead in 1990 from a gunshot to the back by her brother Julian as payback for her betrayal. Became obsessed with Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), part of the Jerome crime family, while he was married to Anna Devane. In a struggle to obtain control of the family business, Liv is nearly killed by her half-brother Dino Antoinelli (Chris DeRose). She suffered a severe brain injury causing her to be institutionalized for insanity. Like Heather Webber, Liv Jerome has also wreaked havoc on the unsuspecting people of Port Charles. Here is a short list of her crimes against humanity: Caused Anna Devane to miscarry hers and Dukes unborn baby. Kidnapped Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) as a child. Had her brother Julian shot in 1988 to gain control of the Jerome crime family. Recently Kidnapped a pregnant Robin and strapped her to a pressure bomb to blow up General Hospital. Attempted to kill Julian by planting a bomb in his car but killed Morgan Corrinthos (Bryan Craig) instead. Pushed Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) off a bridge causing her to go into labor. Kidnapped Dr. Griffin Monroe (Matt Cohen) in a failed attempt at resurrecting Duke Lavery’s soul using Griffins body as a conduit. Cut Anna’s hand with a scalpel and taunted her with a secret. Spoilers tease this may involve something from Anna’s past. Threatened to kill Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) while handcuffed to the bridge. Struggled with Carly Corinthos at Morgan’s grave and finally, shot Julian who went over the bridge into the water. He is for all intent and purposes presumed dead.

As you can see, these two “ladies” are not only evil villains, but they are severally deranged. Both have been obsessed and delusional about men who did not want them. Both have been institutionalized for insanity and have caused harm to the people of Port Charles because of their desire for revenge and love. ABC spoilers indicate we have not seen the last of these ladies. In the event of a trophy for the most dangerous and insane villain these two could easily walk away with the prize.
