General Hospital Poll: Which GH Actress Do You Want To See Return To Port Charles? VOTE!

ABC’s iconic daytime drama General Hospital has been home to some of the genre’s most talented actresses. So Steve Burton’s (Jason Morgan Quartermaine) impending return to the sudser got us to thinking about which characters we’d love to see come back to GH.

Topping the list is Brenda Barrett, played by the incomparable Daytime Emmy Award winner Vanessa Marcil. Marcil is soap royalty thanks to her enduring and iconic performances as one of Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) true loves. There are diehard GH fans who will never give up hope that Brenda returns to Port Charles, and her last appearance as part of the show’s 50th anniversary served to fan the flames of optimism.

Olivia Jerome is a name on everyone’s lips these days, and we’d love to see Tonja Walker reprise her role as the demented but beautiful mobstress. Olivia’s brother is currently on trial for a crime she forced him into, and her niece recently snapped big time as a result of Olivia’s kidnapping of the then-pregnant lady. Olivia brings a zany zestiness to the canvas, and the town could use a little dose of the deliciously delusional drama that she brings!

Rebecca Budig just left the canvas, but we miss her already! Let’s bring her back as Hayden Barnes’ long lost (other) sister, presumed dead identical cousin, or mysterious doppelgänger. Or even as Hayden herself, since she has lots of unfinished business, having left her fiancé at the alter and the hospital nearly in financial ruin.

Robin Scorpio Drake is living happily off screen in San Francisco with her family, but GH just isn’t the same without Kimberly McCullough’s portrayal of Robin, a character fans saw grow up before their eyes starting in 1985. Now that Robin’s daughter Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) is also a beloved part of Port Charles, that’s even more reason to bring Robin back. Plus, there’s a GH staff opening available now that Dr. Obrecht’s been canned!
