General Hospital POLL: Should Sonny Help Griffin Find and Save Ava? VOTE!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers have revealed that Port Charles mob father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has not softened his heart towards Ava Jerome (Maura West) in the slightest; in fact, he turned Griffin away saying he doesn’t care whether Ava is hurt or worse. Do you feel he should change his mind and hep Griffin rescue Ava from whatever hell he thinks she is in?

As fans of the ABC soap opera already know, Sonny received a mysterious phone call and had his associate Brick (Stephen A. Smith) look into it, discovering it came from Saint Petersburg, Russia. It coincided with Dr. Griffin Munro’s (Matt Cohen) visit, who revealed to Sonny that Ava was in Russia, possibly in danger. Sonny wanted nothing to do with it and cold-heartedly told Griffin he doesn’t care what happens to her. Some feel that Sonny is justified in his hatred, while others feel Sonny should be thinking about their daughter, Avery Corinthos (Grace and Ava Scarola).

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Ava is rarely a victim, and fans would agree most things that happen to her are a result of something she has put into motion. The hatred between Sonny and Ava goes back to 2013 when she murdered Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) after she discovered that Derek Wells was actually Julian Jerome (William deVry); and her frame job of putting it on AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan); forced Sonny to wrongfully kill him. Although their business rivalry doesn’t really hold any water, its clear that Sonny will never forgive her for killing at the time, the love of his life!

Is Sonny really right in not budging to help the mother of his little girl? There has been a lot of tension between them, and even though Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has stepped up and become the full-time motherly figure in Avery’s life, the words “love your child more than you hate your ex” rings a bell. Yes, we know that Ava and Sonny were nothing but a night of drunken sex, resulting in her pregnancy but she will forever be Avery’s biological mother and can Sonny live with himself if he didn’t lift a finger to ensure her safety?
