General Hospital POLL: Does Franco Deserve A Second Chance? Vote!

ABC’s General Hospital has had faithful viewers on the edge of their seats the past few weeks since the daytime soap started the “Two Jasons” story bringing beloved soap vet Steve Burton back to the canvas.

The arc started with tormented artist Franco Baldwin( Roger Howarth)and his latest inspiration for his colorful yet strange Twins Painting.

Robert “Franco” Baldwin (Roger Howarth) is a complicated character with a complicated past and childhood who also has a twisted “relationship” with Sam( Kelly Monaco) and Jason Morgan( Steve Burton).

Franco has done some dastardly things in the past to most residents in Port Charles, like strapping a bomb to LuLu Spencer Falconeri ( Emme Rylan), holding Sam hostage, terrorizing her and when she passed out he claimed he raped her. When Sam found out she was pregnant she and Jason (Steve Burton) suffered thinking she was pregnant with the monster’s baby with Jason never even finding out the truth until this past week.

Franco relentlessly stalked Jason and Sam he was inadvertantly responsible for the rape of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) while he was in prison. He Kidnapped Carly Jacks ( Laura Wright) Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and baby Aiden Elizabeth’s( Rebecca Herbst) newborn baby.

Diane Miller ( Carolyn Hennesy) became his Defense Lawyer and successfully argued the “tumor” made him do it, she brought his tumor in a jar into the courtroom and told the Judge pointing at the tumor “this is the real culprit”. Diane won the case and that was when the new Franco was supposed to start his new clean life, he even had Carly Corinthos( Laura Wright) by his side, yes Carly!!

Carly was very drawn to Franco even though her own son Michael was brutally raped because of him yet she overlooked it and blamed it on “the tumor” excusing all of his monstrous deeds before it was removed.

KiKi (Hayley Erin) and Franco have a great relationship as do most kids who get to know him. Which makes you think that maybe there are redeemable qualities about him, because why else would children like Jake Spencer (Hudson West) be drawn to him and understand him so well?

Jake is one of the reasons his mom Elizabeth( Rebecca Herbst) gave Franco a chance, it wasn’t easy and it was a long haul but Jake had a lot of mental issues after being held captive for so many years, Franco was the only one that could get through to him. Jake laughed and smiled when he was around Franco and Elizabeth slowly melted and gave him a chance. She has fallen in love with “new and improved Franco” not the monster that half of PC hates.

Franco wants to be a productive member of society and positive influence on Elizabeth’s kids he absolutely adores Elizabeth and would do anything for her, which is kind of scary in itself.

On the 11/6 General Hospital episode Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam confronted Franco asking him what he knew about Patient 6 (Steve Burton) and what the twins had to do with anything, they demand answers!

Jason started to “bully” Franco into a corner punching him in the face causing him to bleed and threatening him. On their way out the door Franco asked for his childhood picture back but Jason ignored him and  left with it. Sam then put her two cents in and Franco asked her “Does your husband know that you think the guy in jail is Jason Morgan?”

Sam smiles real big and says she can’t wait till Patient6/Jason destroys him and she can’t wait to watch!
