General Hospital POLL: Do You Like Sam and Jason’s Daughter’s Name, Emily Scout Morgan? VOTE NOW!

Last week the fans were treated to the birth of baby girl Morgan… this week we learned her name; Emily Scout Morgan. There seems to be lots of controversy regarding the name. It would appear some fans don’t think Sam Kelly Monaco) should name the baby after Jason’s (Billy Miller) sister Emily (Natalia Livingston).

In 2006 Emily and Jason had a falling out because she and Sonny (Maurice Benard) had an affair which Jason ( Steve Burton)disapproved of. During this time Sam and Emily remained close friends. In 2005 Emily saved Sam’s life when Dr. Thomas ( Larry Poindexter) injected her with some type of poison. Earlier in 2005 Emily saved Sam when she was attacked at Kelly’s. Emily came out of the kitchen with a shot gun ready to shoot when Jason came in a stopped her. One would think that naming the baby after Emily would be a great tribute to her. In 2012 Sam told Jason she had a fantasy that they had a little girl who completed their family and her name was Emily.

Some fans believe the baby should be named Lila after Jason’s grandmother Lila Quartermain (Anna Lee). In 2004 Sonny and Sam had an affair and a baby girl was conceived. Unfortunately, the baby was still born after an argument in the hospital between Sam and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Sam decided to name her baby girl Lila. In 2006 Alcazar ( Ted King) a mobster, married Skye Quartermaine (Robin Christopher) and they had a little girl. They named her Lila Rea after her mother and her grandmother Lila Q. It appears that Port Charles has enough Baby Lila’s to go around.

Many fans have names they would prefer instead of Lila or Scout, but Danny has already started calling his little sister Scout and the name seems to have stuck with her. Another name that was suggested was Phoenix after the Sam’s trinket given to her by Jason in 2011.

Spoilers indicate Sam and Jason receive some bad news this week. Sam and Jason have been through so much with this pregnancy and the circumstance of delivery, should we just be happy that the baby is here safe and sound or do you think her name should carry some significance.
