General Hospital POLL: Do You Like Michael and Nelle As a Couple? VOTE!

General Hospital (GH) has many Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) wrapped into many story lines, but none more prominent that her reconciliation with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). How do you feel about Michael forgiving Nelle and rebuilding a relationship with her?

GH’s Michael Corinthos has been through the ringer when it comes to relationships. He has always been portrayed as this stand-up kind of man, who shows compassion and kindness, even when it isn’t in his best interests. He forgives the unforgivable but also listens to the voice of reason.

Nelle Benson arrived in town with full intentions of destroying her adopted sister, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) because of everything her father, Frank Benson has told her about Carly. Nelle drugged Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and made him believe they slept together for months, hoping this would do irreversible damage to his marriage to Carly; but her conscience got the best of her and she confessed everything. Is it possible that Nelle could be redeemed for all her misdeeds?

Anyone who watches General Hospital, knows that Carly and her mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zemen) should be the last people in Port Charles to be pointing fingers at Nelle discouraging their reunion, as fans might remember, Carly did pretty much the same thing when she arrived in town like a bat out of hell, sleeping with her mother’s husband, Dr. Tony Jones (Brad Maule).

GH viewers are conflicted on whether Michael should forgive Nelle but they need to remember not everything she did was a bad thing. She unwillingly donated one of her kidneys to save another child’s life, and when learning the truth, she never asked for a penny. She attacked the Corinthos family because she was so misinformed by her own father, the one man in her life she should be able to trust.

Michael has always been able to see the good in people and clearly he has made up his mind that there is goodness in Nelle that others are unable or unwilling to see.
