General Hospital News: Rebecca Budig OUT!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and coming and going news indicates that Rebecca Budig is out at General Hospital. After weeks of speculation, we can now confirm Budig’s departure. For many weeks now on social media, many fans and viewers have speculated that Hayden would be exiting the soap after her nearly 3 year run as Hayden Barnes.

Hayden was first introduced on General Hospital as the manipulative so-called wife of “Jake Doe” who came to Port Charles because of a con she was running in order to make some extra money as it was revealed later on that she was not only the daughter of Raymond Berline, but also the sister to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).

As of late, Hayden has found love with Dr Finn Hamilton (Michael Easton) after her husband, Nikolas Cassadine was presumed dead in August of 2016.

Recently, Hayden has been helping Finn through his drug addiction and now has discovered that she is expecting a baby with Finn. Of course, this was unexpected news as she has been seen as of late tossing around the fears on whether she has what it takes to be a mother.

It has been rumored by many sources on social media that Hayden Barnes is set to be killed off the soap- due to complications during her pregnancy/childbirth.

According to Nathan Varni, he teased to many viewers that a major character would be killed off during summer sweeps, I guess fans do not have to wonder any longer. According to the latest edition of Soap In Depth, Rebecca Budig’s picture is gracing the cover and it states that she is leaving General Hospital. There has been no word yet on Rebecca Budig’s last airdate as Hayden Barnes but once we receive that information, we here at Soap Opera Spy will certainly bring that to you.
