General Hospital News: Maurice Benard Reveals How Much Longer He'll Be On GHGeneral Hospital rumors are always popping up that Maurice Benard plans to leave GH, and his iconic role as Sonny Corinthos.

Recently Sonny exit rumors have been heating up, Maurice has set the record straight and revealed he wants to be on General Hospital “at least one more year.”

Benard dished to ABC Soaps In Depth, “I want to stay on GH.  Another year and it’ll be my 25th anniversary! If I’m allowed to do one more year…”

Maurice also added that “Anything can happen in negotiations,” however he has no desire to leave the ABC soap opera.  Especially now that Steve Burton is back in Port Charles!
