“General Hospital,” fans will be glad to hear that fan fave Kelly Thiebaud (ex Dr. Britt Westbourne) has just booked a new film project. The beautiful brunette is set to play Mary Beth Sweeney in the upcoming movie, “Every 21 Seconds.”

According to the film’s website, the movie begins production this month. The film is based on the real life stories of two Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) survivors and is described as, “gut wrenching and inspirational.”
The film centers on the story and book of TBI survivor Brian Sweeney and is inspired by Marine Veteran and TBI/PTSD survivor Jon Jans.
“Every 21 Seconds,” was nominated for Best Screenplay by the Naperville Independent Film Festival. Shannon Brown stars as Brian Sweeney and Matt Pratt plays Jon Jans.
Kelly will play the part of Brian’s wife and there is no doubt that she will slay what sounds like the very dramatic and intense material; we can’t wait to see Dr. O’s daughter back in action!
The multi-talented Thiebaud also starred on the NBC sudser, “Days of Our Lives,” and appeared in the tv series, “Criminal Minds.” Her film credits include “Hostel: Part III,” “Healing the Stupid,” and “Grace Unplugged.”
Her latest project, “Love at First Glance,” a Hallmark Channel original premiered, in February. In the romantic film Thiebaud’s character plays Carey, a woman who must learn to walk again. Former “All My Children,” star Jonathan Bennet (J.R.) also appears in the movie. The former model was previously engaged to her, “General Hospital,” colleague star Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan Corinthos).

It’s good to see Thiebaud’s career take off following her GH departure. There doesn’t seem to be much chance that she’ll rejoin the popular ABC soap, but one can hope, right? With the legendary Nurse’s Ball coming up, you never what will happen, or who will pop up!
