‘General Hospital’ News: Is Tonja Walker Staying On GH?

Is she or isn’t she? “General Hospital’s” Tonja Walker (Olivia Jerome) has been fanning the flames of a reel-life mystery for weeks now! At stake is the fate of mobstress Oliva Jerome; exactly when will viewers see the last of her?

It’s a mystery that the lovely blonde has cooked up all by herself, based on some very conflicting tweets regarding her GH stint.

For weeks now Walker has been tweeting deets about when viewers can expect to see the last of the “reincarnated” Ms. Jerome. At one point she even encouraged fans to take an active role in keeping her on the show she loves.

First, Walker tweeted that she would appear onscreen through the middle of March. Now, she’s reversed course and tweeted that she will be back at work after the show’s scheduled February hiatus. The hiatus has just ended.

Walker explained her conflicting tweets by writing, “I totally mistyped. I am in my last weeks—three more!—with lots of story to play.” Okay…

But, complicating matters, her onscreen brother, Julian Jerome (William DeVry) went online a few days later and twisted the timeline once again!

Writing in the past tense, DeVry noted that, “having Tonja on GH has been fun.”

So, which is it: is Tonja staying, leaving, or in limbo? One thing’s for certain, TPTB at GH aren’t weighing in on this conundrum!

What do you think, GH fans? Would you like to see Walker take up residence in Port Charles? She sure has spiced things up during her short stay. She’s threatened to kill off half of her family, and sent the local police force on a wild goose chase. In addition to blackmailing Julian, she’s also managed to get their sister Ava (Maura West) jailed for her crimes.
