General Hospital News: Chloe Lanier Talks GH Haters

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Chloe Lanier (Nelle) always feels kind of guarded at fan events. She said that many GH fans believe that she is a horrible person, much like her alter-ego, Nelle. However, she admitted that most fans are wonderful and respect her.

Dealing with haters

Lanier said that some General Hospital fans are completely nasty to her about Nelle. They believe that she is an awful person, just like Nelle and have resorted to calling her awful names. At one event, Chloe said that a woman hugged everyone but her. It made her feel really bad, but then she realized, she did nothing wrong but portray Nelle perfectly.

Chloe added that at another fan event, someone called her “the devil.” The GH actress remembers one person who started lashing out at her on social media. It got so bad that she had to block them. She admitted that she usually ignores people on social media, but when it gets abusive, she draws the line. 

A hilarious fan letter

ABC Soaps in Depth shared that Lanier recalls one fan letter that she got written with a blue sharpie. The letter said that she needed to get breast implants like Pamela Anderson and start taking steroids to get muscular arms to be a successful actress on General Hospital. Of course, Lanier dismissed the notion but decided to hang the letter on her refrigerator because it was downright hilarious.

Laura Wright is always on her side

Chloe said that it helps that when the GH fans lash out at her, her co-star, Laura Wright (Carly) is always in her corner. She will often tell people that Chloe is a sweet young lady and nothing like Nelle appears on General Hospital.

Lanier admitted that even though Laura is there for her and her biggest cheerleader, Wright often uses her ridiculous fan letter against her. She will say if she had breast implants and strong arms, she would have won an Emmy award for that particular scene.
