General Hospital star Kelly Monaco is celebrating a huge milestone this weekend. The brunette beauty has been on the hit ABC series for 14 years as Sam McCall. She first appeared on the show back on October 1, 2003.
During her first episode, Sam appeared to be working with Jax to find the lucky cards needed for Dean Man’s Hand. Jax and Sam ended up having a brief affair before she began her relationship with Sonny (played by actor Maurce Benard). But it wasn’t until Sam began friends with Jason (Steve Burton) that they became General Hospital’s super couple.

Before joining General Hospital, Kelly appeared on Baywatch back in 1997. She was also a model and got her start with Playboy after she sent her photos to the publication in 1996. As a result, she was named Playmate of the Month for April of 1997 and has also been featured in many Playboy Special Edition publications.
Kelly has also received plenty of recognition for her role as Sam McCall. In 2003 she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress. In 2006, Kelly was nominated again for the same award. She was also given the opportunity to show off her fancy footwork twice on ABC’s hit reality competition show, Dancing With The Stars. Kelly managed to impress the judges enough to take home the Mirror Ball as the first season winner in 2005. She appeared on the show again during Season 15 in 2012 but ended up finishing in third place.
