General Hospital Griffin and Ava Together? HOT or NOT?

General Hospital (GH) sources reveal now that Dr. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) has renounced his vows to the priesthood and chosen to be with Ava Jerome (Maura West), several GH fans feel conflicted about the union. GH’s Griffin Munro has had a rather difficult time since arriving in Port Charles; first he was struggling with his vows and commitment to the church when it was revealed that he had an affair with Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) then-wife, Claudette Beaulieu (Bree Williamson) and then again when he had unexpected feelings for his then-patient, a badly burned Ava Jerome.

Griffin seems to be a wholesome guy who is similar to his father, the-late Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), in the sense that he leads with his heart. Although the priest turned doctor, toed the line when it came to Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he never crossed the line and became involved with the mob like Duke.

General Hospital spoilers tease that it almost seems like opposites attract when it comes to Ava and Griffin. Ava Jerome was born a mob princess and has resorted to some evil tactics to obtain what she desires and hasn’t faced the consequences for some of her choices; but there is a sense of calmness and kindness that has overcome Ava since her and Griffin became friends. Maybe Griffin is the one who will help Ava turn around and walk away from her scheming and vindictive ways!

The question remains – is this a match made in heaven or a match made in hell? Thus far, it appears that Griffin has been a good influence on Ava, but fans of General Hospital know that Ava has a strong will and personality; she has a way of manipulating people. Look at how she changed Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig), encouraging him to reject his family for her! Nevertheless, Griffin has given into his feelings and is willing to start a “casual” relationship with Ava.
