General Hospital comings and goings indicate that fans will be seeing a big soap star make her way to Port Charles again. Actress Hillary B. Smith is back as her One Life to Live character Nora. The last time fans saw her on General Hospital was back in March.
It was last revealed that Valentin was paying Nora to represent Olivia Jerome. Nora had no idea what she was getting into with Olivia. Hillary says that not only is she excited to be reprising her role, but that she’ll also be working with lots of good friends that are both old and new.
According to Hillary, she didn’t even flinch when General Hospital head exec Frank Valentini called and asked her to come back. She told Soap Opera Digest, “Last time was such a blast! And Frank told me, ‘We’d really love for you to come back and play with us.’ I said, ‘I’d love to! That would be great.’ So when he called me and said, ‘Okay these are the dates,’ I said, ‘Done!’ It’s fabulous.”
If that weren’t enough, Hillary also says that it feels good to be playing with such a talented cast of actors that she’s known for years on both a professional and personal level.
Hillary added, “It was so much fun to work with Tonja, who I hadn’t seen in years. She’s a great comedian. I’ve known Nancy for eons and eons. I met her 27 years ago at an audition and we just kind of bonded. I was such a fan of hers from Santa Barbara so it was really fun to meet her and we became buds again.”
