Finola Hughes Going On Summer Vacation From GH - What's That Mean For Anna Devane?

General Hospital’s (GH) Finola Hughes is planning to spend her annual summer vacation on Italy’s Amalfi Coast with her family, but word is her character Anna Devane will not be completely MIA.

GH spoilers tease that Anna will not be altogether gone while Finola Hughes is away on summer vacation. After all, Anna Devane could just be taking a visit to see her daughter Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) and granddaughter Emma Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer). That would simply explain her not being around Port Charles for a while being that they no longer live there. They did just recently come to visit her in Port Charles, so now it’s her turn to make a trip to see them.

Last time we saw Robin Scorpio Drake in Port Charles she was pregnant expecting another child and now that Kimberly has had her baby they could easily use that as why Anna is going to see Robin. They could write the delivery into a storyline and Anna could be going to meet her new grandchild. That’s just one of the ways the writers could explain her being missing for a bit.

Anna Devane could also find herself wrapped up in the WSB and be away on business. It’s certainly not the first time that’s been done. With all the mess that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has recently got caught up in and Anna feeling guilty because of her twin sister Alex Marick, she could be away trying to come up with a plan to help him. Not only that her ex-husband Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is in charge of the Spy organization so she could also go away with him on a mission. Who knows? There is certainly endless possibilities of explaining her absence while she’s away.

Make sure to stay tuned to ABC’s General Hospital to see how the writers explain her absence. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your latest General Hospital spoilers, news, updates, and much more.
