Eve Morey’s Pregnancy Won’t Be Written Into New ‘Neighbors’ Storyline – No Baby For Sonya!

Even though actress Eve Morey is pregnant, it looks like her on screen character Sonya Rebecchi won’t be. New reports indicate that producers have decided not to write Eve’s pregnancy into Sonya’s storyline in the hit soap drama series ‘Neighbours.’

Eve said that even though ‘Neighbours’ did consider writing in a pregnancy for Sonya’s upcoming storylines, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon.

She told the Huffington Post in an interview, “When our producer was telling me about upcoming storylines, I wasn’t 12 weeks but I had to tell him I was pregnant. He was like, ‘Oh, that’s great! We can make it work!’, and then they thought that maybe Sonya could be pregnant too, but then realized she hadn’t slept with anyone. But no, we’re going to hide it.”

Eve added, “I think it will be relatively low key because Sonya always has Callum to go and see. Last time, they chilled my storylines out towards the end of my pregnancy, so it would be great if it could be a nice exit again, rather than a tragedy.”

In the meantime, it looks like producers will have to come up with clever and creative ways to hide Eve’s baby bump with clothing and camera angles as her pregnancy progresses. This will be Eve’s second child with her husband, Jonathon Dutton. The couple already have one daughter, Ivy Rae.
