Emmerdale Star Leah Bracknell Vows to Continue Fighting After Cancer Treatment Fails

Leah Bracknell isn’t one to give up just yet. The former Emmerdale star says that she has vowed to continue fighting even though her recent cancer treatment stopped working back in March. Doctors gave the actress a terminal diagnosis last October.

Fans know Leah best as the character Zoe Tate on Emmerdale. According to Britain’s The Mirror, Leah was forced to seek treatment in Germany after finding out that there was no treatment available for the immunotherapy that she needed in Britain. Unfortunately, she just found out that the drug has failed.

The celebrity mother of two is fighting for her life, while also adding that she is thankful for all the support that she gets from her fans. Her partner, Jez Hughes started a crowdfunding page on her behalf. Leah has regular sessions in an infrared sauna and has been using plant-based healing oils.

Jez explained, “We have found out the drug definitely isn’t working so she has been off this for some time while we find out the next steps. We think it probably stopped working back in March or even before. So for the last five months she has been prospering solely on the alternative treatments.”

Meanwhile, Leah has shared a new photo of herself on Instagram with an inspirational message. “It is magic and divine medicine, its power is profound and deeply healing. I wish I could share more of it around,” she wrote, adding, “I choose that having cancer makes me bigger, not smaller. I choose to celebrate LIFE. Come with me. Dance with me. Walk with me. Let us celebrate together.”
