Emmerdale Spoilers: Robert Sugden To Be Involved In Exit Of Mystery Character

Emmerdale’s fan fave Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) isn’t going anywhere fans, in fact he’s set to be a key cog in the much-anticipated autumn storytelling arc. Showrunners have been teasing that a sensational plot is about to unfold in time for fall, and Robert is central to the plot.

The schemer will amp up his duplicity as the year wears on, having made a return to his previous dark side. Part of his manipulations involve trying to take over Home Farm, and thus far he’s been willing to stoop to new lows to get what he wants.

His sullen behavior occurs after his breakup with partner Aaron Dingle. And now showrunner Ian McLeod has divulged that Robert and his low behavior will be front and center in the coming months.

In fact, the show exec dropped the news that Robert’s dirty actions directly lead to the exit of another Emmerdale character. Which one?

Not so fast, fans, TPTB aren’t ready to spill the beans just yet, but McLeod did have a few insider deets to tell about Robert’s story!

In an interview with TV Times, McLeod promised an entertaining plot that leads into the New Year. “He’s not going to murder anybody,” McLeod said, “but his scheming will become even more complicated and ingenious as time goes by.”

With so many stars known to be leaving in the coming months, is one of them to be caught in Robert’s crosshairs?

We know that Lawrence White (John Bowe), Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) and Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) will all be leaving the Dales. And there is speculation that the mass exodus doesn’t end there!

We don’t yet know who will be wrapped within Robert’s web, but we do have one happy bit of news to impart, and it involves Robron.

According to McLeod, popular couple Robert and Aaron, AKA Robron, “absolutely will be together!”

Now that’s the kind of news that Emmerdale fans want to hear!
