Emmerdale Spoilers: Rhona Goskirk’s Downward Spiral Continues, Wedding Trauma Far From Over

How horrified will Emmerdale’s Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) be when she finds out who she made a drunken pass at? Poor Rhona will once again turn to the bottle to help her cope with life, but the results are predictably disastrous.

In the coming days Rhona’s friends will be dismayed to see that the lingering effects of her traumatic past are far from over. But how low must she sink before the healing begins?

This year Rhona married handsome and persuasive Pierce only to find that her new husband was a monster: he raped her on their wedding night. The horrible experience took Rhona down a long, self-destructive path long before she was able to turn a corner and determine to bring him to justice.

The brave lady reported him to the authorities, and recently a trial was held. Ultimately justice was served and Pierce is doing time for his crime. But Rhona’s emotionally fraught state did not end with his jailing.

Explosive Emmerdale spoilers reveal that Rhona’s about to make a huge misstep, during a period that should be a time for celebration. Leading up to Pete Barton (Chris Gascoyne) and Leyla Harding’s (Roxy Shahidi) wedding, Rhona is flooded with memories of her own failed union.

In turn, Rhona picks up where she left off with the bottle. Finding comfort in alcohol can’t be good, especially given Rhona’s past experience with this method of coping. Luckily for the lovely brunette, a friend notices her devolving condition and urges her to go home and take proper care of herself.

Rhona wisely heeds the advice, but before she can make it to the safety of her couch, she does something totally unexpected. No doubt she’s going to eventually regret making a drunken pass at someone she encounters on her way home, but will she even remember it in the morning? Even worse, will this certain someone try to take advantage of Rhona in her vulnerable condition?
