Fresh off the heels of the reveal that Moira Dingle killed nasty Emma Barton on Emmerdale, comes news that her portrayer has inked a new contract.
Fans will get to see the supremely talented Natalie J. Robb on their tv screens for at least another year even though she’s been outed as the one who offed Nurse Emma (Gillian Kearney). And you thought innocent schoolboy Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) did the dirty deed—shame on you!
Since Emma incited Moira prior to her death, maybe this is justification for future redemption? We’ll have to wait and see how the writers play out Moira’s Emmerdale story, but recent events have led us to believe that the beset brunette still has lots of explosive story to come in 2018.

First off Moira is struggling to deal with the after-effects of her recent delivery of son Isaac. When Moira can’t get a much-needed sleep aid prescription from her legit doctor, she turns to other means.
In a show of bad judgement Moira turns to the town drug dealer for help with her dilemma. Yikes. And how will her conscience continue to manage to survive keeping the secret that she’s a murderer?
At least she has her ex Cain (Jeff Hordley) to turn to. Will these two bond over her terrible secret and have an eventual reunion?
In an interview with The Metro, Robb revealed the conversation she had with TPTB about her extension in light of the fact that Moira is now a killer.
“They told me that wasn’t the case that this would mean Moira would have to go … I have just signed another year, so you have another year of me yet! Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has killed, but he is still here!”
At any rate it will be interesting to see Moira’s tortuous path play out on Emmerdale. Robb has done a bang-up job of showing Moira’s complex angst and we’re happy to hear that she’s not going anywhere soon.
