Emmerdale Spoilers: Lucy Pargeter Returning To The Dales

There’s good news to report for fans of popular British soap Emmerdale. Star Lucy Pargeter (Chas Dingle) has confirmed that she’s ready to return to work after her well-deserved maternity leave.

On Wednesday the talented actress announced her plans on Twitter ending speculation about her return.

“Big day tomorrow,” wrote Pargeter, “my beautiful#twirls turn 5 months and I go back to work !! Huge mix of emotions?I’m going to miss them so much #workingmum.”

Pargeter also has an 11-year-old daughter, Lola, with her partner Rudi Coleano. The couple’s twin girls were born on April 13.

Pargeter has been direct about her struggles to conceive and previously discussed her experience with IVF. Last October the excited actress announced that she and Coleano would be expanding their family: “We’ve been trying for a baby for 11 years and now we’re expecting twins!”

After the birth, an Emmerdale spokesperson announced, “All are happy and healthy and [older daughter] Lola is delighted to have finally become a big sister.”

Chas Dingle left the Dales in a storyline that also involved Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele). Chas decided to accompany Liv back to Ireland when Liv’s biological mother was involved in a car accident. Chas has been acting as Liv’s guardian.

Prior to her departure fans were treated to some meaty scenes involving Chas and her own mother. The two had an emotional meeting and it looked the estranged mother and daughter would finally mend fences. In the end however, Chas was left hanging when she tried unsuccessfully to hug her mother.

Emmerdale fans can look forward to welcoming Liv back to their television screens in early September, and they can expect to see Chas return sometime in October. Pargeter has just returned to filming, and it will take a few weeks before her scenes hit the airwaves.

In a stroke of good timing, Pargeter is also celebrating another milestone event this year, as 2017 marks her 15th year as a cast member of Emmerdale, ITV’s long-running soap.
