It has been a long road for Emma who now firmly believes she is in the clear for the murder of her husband James on Emmerdale. Last year she took out her anger and in a shock twist James was pushed off a bridge to his death. But now her luck has ended and the truth is going to come to the Dales, the only question is when.
The tape has been brought up multiple times since Ashley recorded her confession earlier this year but it is only just going to be revealed.
Ashley saw Emma commit the crime but due to his dementia could not recall the event, even when Emma confessed to him in person he could do nothing against it. And we know he would, as a former Vicar and a good man would absolutely have turned the vile women in to the police.

Luckily Ashley managed to record Emma’s confession on a home video camera, but he did not manage to get Laurel his wife to watch the footage before he forgot the whole conversation.
Unfortunately Ashley lost his life in the recent weeks past after a terrible battle with the mind crippling disease. The emotional downfall of his early on set dementia was truly sad to watch unfold.
But it is that which is going to unearth this murder, as Laurel is watching home videos with Arthur. The poor boy is grieving terribly from the loss of his father and is receiving therapy to combat the struggle. He becomes distressed when his pet Rattle seems to becoming ill and Arthur fears it will die just like his dad, heart-breaking for such a young child.
To soothe the child Laurel suggests watching home movies, which will make Arthur feel better. But it will leave Laurel with a huge dilemma, what will she do when she discovered the murder of James? Will she go to the police or confront Emma herself?
