Emmerdale Spoilers: Adam Barton’s Confession And Emma’s Suicide Note Reveal

Next week Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) let’s slip a scintillating tidbit in Emmerdale’s puzzling, “Who Killed Emma?” storyline. Remember the missing suicide note? It’s not missing anymore, folks!

Fans saw Emma Barton pen a suicide note prior to her cinematic freefall death from the viaduct. Initially she had planned to take her own life, seeing as how all that bad karma kept accumulating all around her. First off, she killed her husband and lied about it for a year. But the truth was closing in, and several people were on to her. But what happened next was too much even for her to live with: she accidentally killed her son Finn.

So Emma screwed up her courage, wrote the goodbye note, and left it in the church to be found (along with a baby, but’s that’s a whole other story).

Well, the babe was found but no mention was made of Emma’s note, leading to frenzied fan speculation about conspiracy theories and guilty parties.

“So the police officer said tonight that there was no suicide note but Emma wrote one…I’m thinking Ross found it?!,” tweeted one fan.

Another wrote, “The Police think there is something suspicious with Emma’s death…what do you think?” 

We now know that there was definitely something suspicious about Emma’s death as it’s since been confirmed that she was pushed from her perch. There’s a murderer loose in the Dales!

What part does Adam play in the mystery? Next week he confesses all to Victoria (Isabel Hodgins).

Apparently Adam himself found the missing missive, in his car of all places. He steadfastly maintains that he had nothing to do with Emma’s death, but Victoria’s opinion isn’t the one that counts: the police think he did it and they charge him with Emma’s murder.

They don’t keep Adam behind bars however, and soon he and Victoria are hot on the trail of the real killer.
