It looks like Stuart Antony is doing all the research and preparation he can do before his next new role. The former EastEnders star has joined the Lincolnshire Police force as part of his research for an exciting new project. He’ll be playing Sergeant Mathew Dawson in a new series called The Bar.
According to Lincolnshire Live, Stuart has shared a few new details about the series. And according to the actor, it will be an action-packed crime thriller. He wants to get as much insight as he can before filming begins.
Stuart said, “I am writing for a new show called The Bar that will be out next year. My production company contacted a number of police forces across the country to see if I could pop along to help build the characters and get things right for the script.”

He added, “I will be spending almost a week with the force, and am going to the Lincoln City vs Mansfield match to see what policing involves at a football match. I will also be seeing some rural crime, and night time economy so I will get to see all the drunks about. I would like to thank temporary assistant chief constable Shaun West and his team for their help – they have been great and will give me a great idea of what policing is really like.”
