EastEnders Spoilers: Time To Revisit Denise And Phil Mitchell’s Baby Storyline?

EastEnders Spoilers: Time To Revisit Denise And Phil Mitchell's Baby Storyline? It’s been out of sight, out of mind for Phil (Steve McFadden) and Denise’s (Diane Parish) love child on EastEnders. Is that all about to change in a big way? What will the fallout be if news of their one night stand reverberates through Walford?

Odd couple Phil and Denise found themselves in each other’s arms last April, and the mid-lifers were shocked to learn that their union produced a baby. The baby daddy’s identity was kept anonymous from her loved ones, and after much gut-wrenching indecision Denise decided that adoption was the best thing for the little one.

Expert instigator Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) knows all about Denise and Phil’s situation though; doesn’t she know everything about everyone in Walford? So one day, maybe sooner rather than later, the truth is bound to come spilling out.

In fact, Parish has spilled a few juicy insights into the situation. Talking to Inside Soap the talent thespian highlighted how epic the repercussions of the one-night-stand would be, especially for their loved ones. “Kush (Davood Ghadami) still doesn’t know that Phil is the dad, and it presents so much drama for the likes of Sharon (Letitia Dean), Ben (Harry Reid) and Louise (Tilly Keeper) as well.”

Not to mention Baby Ray himself! According to Parish, “Ray Mitchell will turn up in the Square one day looking for his old man, I’m sure!” Until then Parish and McFadden still enjoy a bit of mirth regarding their little secret. Parish says that her onscreen fling likes to remind her of their little tryst, saying, “We’ve got a baby together,” to which she replies, “I know, darling!”

In fact when the secret first came out during an executive meeting, Parish couldn’t contain herself. “I ran around screaming and needed a little lie-down on the floor,” she said laughing. Wouldn’t it have been fun to be a fly on the wall that day?
