EastEnders Spoilers: Steven And Abi Affair In The Works – Ultimate Revenge On Lauren?

Is it a conspiracy theory, a rumor or the writing on the wall? No matter what it turns out to be, “EastEnders,” viewers are up in arms over this potential new coupling! Would the show really put these two mismatched, off the wall characters together?

Fans have gone online in droves to protest what they see as a travesty: Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) betraying her sister Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) by stealing her man Steven(Edward Farrell)! One thing’s for certain, and that’s the fact that Abi is jealous of her accomplished and beautiful career woman sister.

Plus, the fact that Lauren has Steven while she has no one, seems to get under Abi’s porcelain skin. The pair returned home to Walford last year, and since then Abi has had to live in her sister’s shadow. Never mind the fact that Steven and Lauren aren’t exactly in the happiest of relationships. Lauren has her eye on her boss Posh Josh, and Steven is, well, a psycho.

He has a history of going berserk on his loved ones when he gets upset, even though he seems rehabilitated. For now. What Lauren doesn’t know is that Steven hatched a plan to keep her by ensuring they had a baby together. How does one do that? Simple: stab holes in one’s condoms!

Don’t laugh, Steven’s plan actually worked and Lauren became pregnant. But she had an abortion behind his back, knowing that she’s not ready to become a mother nor deepen her commitment to Steven. Nonetheless, Abi recently spent time buttering up Steven, most recently when she asked for his help designing invites for her upcoming 21st birthday party.

During the lovefest, Abi laid it on thick, gushing about how smart Steven is, and even going so far as to say that the two of them would make a, gasp, perfect couple. Be careful what you wish for Abi!

All of which led to some pretty fascinating online comments including: “Omg Abi’s gonna Fatal Attraction Steven while he’s doing the same to Lauren.” Could it be?!
