Phil (played by Steve McFadden) has sadly been off of EastEnders for most of this year. His health pushed him to spend some time abroad after a pretty serious alcoholism issue, he and Sharon spent months abroad in Spain after the liver operation which saved his life. Sharon (Letitia Dean) has been back on the square for a while now but Phil is nowhere to be seen. This is due to Steve McFadden’s break from the show.
But Mitchell fans can rejoice, EastEnders spoilers tease that he is coming back and soon! His daughter Louise (Tilly Keeper) has been battling off bullies for a long time but things are about to get a lot worse for the young lady.

With prom coming up and the devious bullies planning something huge which is likely to devastate her world, it is time for her father to step in.
The relationship between the father and daughter has not always been strong as she did not live with him until a few years previous. But the Mitchell family is loyal and when he hears of what has happened to his child he will come racing home.
It is still being kept under wraps what exactly is going to happen at this high school prom but the EastEnders trailer released earlier this week was “Carrie”-esque and is sure to filled with horror and drama.

But what exactly will Phil find on his return home? And how will he deal with it? There are EastEnders rumours that he is a changed man after his health problems, a calmer more stable man. Does this mean we will be denied the tough revenge we’re used to? Most fans will agree that we love the Mitchells for their bad ass and sometimes criminal behaviour. Will the wrong doings done to Louise bring out his past self or is the Mitchell man we love gone for good?
