A name he knows well, as his father James Wilmott Brown (William Boyde) was sent to prison back in the 1980’s for raping Kathy. In fact, a huge part of his presence in the EastEnders square is for his father to get revenge on the woman who he thinks ruined his life.

But what will this mean for Ben and Luke? A romance that is doomed to fail. Neither one realised the connection before the family meal. And Ben still doesn’t. Luke will hide his shock when he is confronted with Kathy. But it is Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) who will dominate this situation.
When he realises who Luke is, he will confront him. Telling him to stay away from his son, and to sever his relationship. He also tells Kathy to keep the rape a secret from Ben. But this doesn’t work. Luke is used to being pushed around by his own father and refuses to take it from Phil. He runs straight to Ben and tells him that Phil is trying to break them up.
But who will win Ben over on EastEnders? Will he trust his new lover over his father? And will Kathy tell her son why it is dangerous to be around the Brown family? It’s sad to see that Ben can’t find a happy relationship for long on the square, hopefully not all the Brown’s are evil.
