EastEnders Spoilers: Kat Moons Return Confirmed, But Is Alfie Dead?

EastEnders Spoilers: Kat Moons Reurn Confirmed, But Is Alfie Dead? There’s great news for EastEnders fans: The Slater women are coming home to Walford where they belong. The show has confirmed that Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) will be back in 2018, but she won’t be traveling solo.

Mo (Laila Morse) and Jean (Gillian Wright) Slater will also return to the Square, but what about Kat’s husband Alfie (Shane Richie)?

Viewers last saw Kat and Alfie in July, as their Redwater series came to an end. The show was an offshoot of EastEnders.

In Redwater the Moon’s were transported to Ireland where they searched for Kat’s long-lost son. They found him all right, but by this time the adult son was a killer priest.

In an amazing cliffhanger, Kat and her demented son Dermott struggled by the water, and Kat was last seen in a prone position, unmoving. Fans were left to wonder if this was the end of Kat.

In addition Alfie was last seen at the hospital, needing a dire operation. It didn’t look good for the Moons.

But we can now say with certainty that Kat will live to see another sunrise, although the prognosis for Alfie is unknown. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that it’s just a matter of time before he, too, pops back up in Walford.

In the meantime showrunner John Yorke has every intention of bringing the Slaters and their story back home to EastEnders.

“The Slaters are one of the all-time great families in EastEnders and Albert Square has never felt quite the same since they scattered … it has been a real joy to … bring them back together and we’re incredibly excited about where we are taking them next.”

Yorke also teased that some good old-fashioned soapy drama will accompany the ladies, previewing that some plot twists and new characters will, “add fresh spice to an iconic creation.”

This sounds like 2018 is set to get off with a bang!
