Jake Wood has revealed when his EastEnders character Max Branning will be in fine fettle and you definitely don’t want to miss this epic episode.
Earlier this week Wood tweeted that what he considers some of his best work ever, will air in the coming days.
Wood called the upcoming air time some, “of the best I’ve ever been involved in. From here till Xmas, hold onto your hats people.”
It’s not hard to imagine why Wood is extolling his virtues; he’s been doing a bang-up job portraying the nuanced layers of a bad guy with an axe to grind.

Mad Max has been a thorn in Walford’s side for months now, and his number is about to be punched. But is he right to be so wrong?
First off Max was thrown in prison for a murder he didn’t commit. The townspeople basically ganged up on him and framed the bad guy. Eventually the truth came out, and Max was sprung from a sentence he didn’t deserve.
He came back to Albert Square with a vicious plan to get back at the people who turned against him. Basically he wanted to take from them the most precious things they coveted, and make them pay for his mistreatment.
But now the cows are coming home, and Max’s best laid revenge plans explode like a zeppelin on fire.
So when is this massively grand episode set to air? Is Thursday night soon enough for you?

According to Wood, “Think the ep I’m thinking of goes out this Thursday. Anyhow, some amazing stuff to come.”
Indeed, Thursday night’s show will be an exclusive, Branning-centric affair. It’s penned by Simon Ashdown, the man responsible for some of the most memorable Branning family scenes ever.
Ashdown immortalized the affair between Max and his daughter-in-law and he was behind the tragic scenes in which Max’s son died.
Thursday night’s epi sounds like a barnburner no true EastEnders fan will want to miss!
