EastEnders Spoilers: Is Belinda Slater Returning to Walford?

On “EastEnders,” Stacey could use a friend, and who better to help out than her cousin Belinda Slater? Carli Norris took on the role of Belinda in April 2016, and made quite an impression on fans before exiting the show later that year. Maybe it’s time she return from her Roman Holiday and spread some sunshine around Walford!

Belinda was initially played by Leanne Lakey from 2001 to 2003. When Norris took on the role in 2016 she lit up the screen, and quickly became a fan favorite. Belinda is the daughter of Viv Slater and Charlie Slater; she has three siblings, Kat Slater, Lynne Hobbs, and Mo Slater.

The Slaters are a proud working class family, but Belinda always wanted to move up the social ladder and likes to see herself as a bit grander than her sisters.

When she married wealthy Neville Peacock, she was beside herself. But she returned once again to Walford after things went south in her marriage.

When Belinda dumped Neville she decided to come home. She chose to move in with her cousin Stacey and she set up a beauty salon. Walford wasn’t big enough for larger-than-life Belinda however, and she ditched her salon, Elysium, in order to take to the open road.

In November the spitfire took off with an old friend in order to explore Italy, one of her teen dreams. Surely she’s had her fill of the villas and art and pasta, by now, right? Would Norris consider coming back to her old Albert Square stomping grounds? When she left the popular BBC 1 sudser Norris made sure to keep the door to a return open. She went on record as saying, “I hope to be back one day.”

Now would be an excellent time for the sexy, smart Belinda to return! Young Stacey is in over her head trying to care for a new baby, and surely she would welcome the advice and guidance of her worldly cousin. Come back home, Belinda!
