EastEnders Spoilers: Huge Dramatic Summer Ahead for EastEnders

The British Soap awards last night were a huge hit with our favourite actors and actresses getting recognized for their work. All the best got dolled up and accepted award after award. But as well as celebrating the Soaps’ past – we also get a glimpse into their future. There is no bigger gathering of Soap stars in the year and many of them are loose lipped about their characters and story lines.

Members of the EastEnders cast kept hinting at a huge Summer for the show. Ted Reilly told the Metro that there is a “storm brewing in Albert Square,” but that the show’s bosses are being very secretive with the specifics. But Ted assured fans that it will be “ambitious, big and exciting.”

He also hinted that his character Johnny may be in for a new romance as he has been single for quite some time. Fans should expect big dramatic things from the show this Summer that is for sure.

There will also be the return of some major characters such as Phil Mitchell and Dean Gaffney. Definite fan favourites who always generate drama and humour.

But how will they tie into the show’s explosive plot line which is set to have an after effect of months. Hopefully this won’t be a Ken Barlow down the stairs situation like Corrie, but something much more exciting.

The show has a history of extreme bus crashes and fires so there is hope for something epic. In the trailer, the soap released it looks like we can look forward to unexpected pregnancy, Max’s revenge, and a few love affairs alongside the mysterious shocker. As with all major plot lines of this scale it is bound to negatively affect some of our favourites, but who do you want to save from the Summer storm coming to Walford?
