EastEnders News: Davood Ghadami Has A New Job

It must be Autumn because Strictly Come Dancing is back on our screens, the popular celebrity dance show is a cozy fall favourite in the UK. This year includes two soap stars. Davood Ghadami who plays Kush in EastEnders and Gemma Atkinson, who is Carly in Emmerdale.

The soap actors have taken to the dancefloor to learn the art of Ballroom and Latin. And it’s safe to say that they’re both doing fantastically well. We’re three weeks into the competition and both Davood and Gemma have been in the top half of the leader board.

Davood is thoroughly enjoying the experience with his new dance partner Nadiya Bychkova. She is 27 years old and this is her first year on the show. Nadiya was world champion in 2014 and 2015, a very qualified dancer to guide Davood through the process. So far, the team have danced the Cha-Cha, Quick Step and the Samba. His results so far have been positive from the judges.

Bruno Tonioli was entranced by the young man’s hips as he gyrated on top of the judge’s desk. He said this after Davood danced last Saturday night, “I’ve got the doctor on call. You’re oh so rough! You’re a beast! Such fun! All the pelvic thrusting- you looked like you had ferrets in your pants! I’m telling you, watching you was an experience.”

A feeling shared by most of the female’s in the room too. He was scored 25 and was 5th on the leader board. But Davood is not perfect, he has been told to reign in his enthusiasm. If he can master this will he rise to the top?
Gemma is going almost as well as Davood, she came in respectable eight this week (out of 13). She and her partner Alijaz danced a fun Charleston. Dressed as a character from the Jungle Book, she certainly made a roar. But she was told by the judges to improve her technique.

The competition will be on until Christmas but will our beloved soap stars dance their way to the top?
