EastEnders News: Cast Members Salaries Leaked – Highest Paid Actor Shocker

In line with their tremendous talent the acclaimed, “EastEnders,” cast is paid royally. But, fans may be shocked to know just who is top dog on the salary ladder! Neither of the show’s veterans, Steve McFadden nor Adam Woodyatt are the show’s highest paid actors.

Instead, it’s Danny Dyer who stands alone on the top rung of the salary ladder. The actor who portrays put-upon barman Mick Carter, earns £400,000 annually in the role. Believe it or not, the next highest salary drops down £100,000 from the number one spot.

According to the Daily Star, Steve McFadden, arguably the most recognized of the cast, earns £310,000 a year. McFadden portrays Walford bad boy Phil Mitchell.

Coming in at number three in the salary hierarchy is Adam Woodyatt. Despite being an original cast member, the actor makes £260,000 playing Ian Beale, a role he’s had since 1985.

So, who do you think is the highest paid female actor on the BBC One sudser? That would be none other than the incomparable June Brown who plays gossip queen Dot Branning. It’s rumored that the actress will sign a £300,000 contract to remain with the soap into the year 2018. That’s a bit more than her character makes working at the laundromat!

Ironically, salary king Dyer has been paid not to work this year! Dyer took an unplanned show hiatus in January after reports of both on and offset misbehavior. When the actor stopped filming and flew off to South Africa he left behind a whirlwind of speculation about his current emotional state, as well as his status with the show.

The actor reportedly returned to the set last week. Neither the show nor the actor have commented on these reports.

Hopefully Mick returns with good news about his daughter Nancy, who was injured in an accident in Bulgaria. Mick has been AWOL from Walford and at her bedside, in a storyline written to accommodate Dyer’s absence from the show.
