Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Ron Carlivati on Gabi’s Future, Teases She is ‘Important’

Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) won’t be obsessing over losing Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn.) She still loves him, but understands his heart belongs to Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller.) So, what does the future hold for the Latina? Head writer Ron Carlivati hinted a few clues and said she is important.

Gabi, like many of the characters, change each time there is a new writing team. With former co-head writer Dena Higley, Gabi fell in love with her best friend’s husband. Even after Abby returned to Salem alive, “Chabi” couldn’t let go of their attraction. Even though the former couple has some fans, many viewers were frustrated with the storyline.

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers reveal that Gabi is an important character. Her focus will no longer be all about a forbidden romance. There are other elements to the fashionista, including her daughter, career and family.

Carlivati didn’t specify what would make Gabi important. However, he did explain that it was essential for Gabi to take the high road and not be bitter about “Chabby” reconciling.

It seems that Gabi will have more purpose in future episodes. Instead of just pining over a man, she will have other kinds of stories. She is also slowly being woven into other plots and is interacting with other characters. We have already seen this with Commissioner Raines (Aaron D. Spears) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker.) Next week, she will have one major scene with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo.)

Seeing Gabi interact with people other than Chad is a welcome change. For months, all of her storylines revolved around “Chabby.” Starting a business and her family were tossed aside. For a while, we almost forgot she had a child.

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that Gabi will focus on building her career and providing a stable life for Ari. Even though finding a man won’t be her primary focus, that doesn’t mean there won’t be any love stories. There is a chance that and Eli and Gabi might reconnect.

Instead of a relationship being Gabi’s only purpose, it will be a side story. Something to compliment – or complicate – everything else in her life.

Also, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) will turn up alive. He is Ari’s father, so expect the two to share some scenes together. It will definitely be complicated and chaotic, especially since there is a young child involved.
