Fans that remember Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) from his first stint on the soap probably also recall Serena. She was part of some criminal activity and played with Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) heart. She also had a fling with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) before Ben murdered the journalist.
When it comes to the soap world, death doesn’t mean a character won’t be seen again. Will Horton (Chandler Massey) was reportedly resurrected and Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) appears as a ghost from time to time. Even Dr. Rolf (William Utay) escaped death himself.
The details surrounding Melissa Archer’s return are scarce. However, “Days of Our Lives” spoilers indicate it will be for only for a brief appearance. This is leading fans to speculate that it Is a flashback scene or perhaps a ghostly vision.
It would not be the first time Serena Mason appeared after death. Sherly following her murder, she was seen in flashback scenes. It was an attempt by writers to fill in the blanks.
What possible reason would Serena have to return now? With Will Horton being resurrected and Ben’s killings being questioned, everything comes under scrutiny. Perhaps he didn’t kill Serena Mason, either.
Does this mean that Paige Larson (True O’Brien) might be next? Fans will have to wait to find out.

However, as Soap Opera Spy previously reported, Ben Weston is hoping to clear his conscious – and his name. It looks like fans might see a new truth about the murders unfold on television screens.
