For the Deveraux family, Jack is someone the kids can count on, especially when they need him the most. After all, Jennifer and Abby often look to their dearly departed father for advice. And now JJ is doing the same, as he is finding a hard time continuing his life even though he is feeling so guilty over what happened to Theo.

According to actor Matthew Ashford, he is very excited to be back on the set of Days of Our Lives, even if it’s just for this storyline. According to Soap Opera Digest, Matthew says that his episodes are going to be pretty intense with emotions. During the December 20th episode, JJ will be writing his goodbye letters while also remembering his life before saying goodbye to his mother one last time.
He explained to the publication, “It’s never easy when people are considering losing their lives, and it shouldn’t be treated lightly, especially considering everything that’s going on with people and young people these days. The show is taking it pretty seriously.”
Meanwhile, Casey Moss says that JJ’s storyline will be a powerful one, especially for those who oftentimes contemplate about suicide or suffer from depression.
“It’s important that we tell these stories and bring it to light,” Casey Moss told Digest. “I’m glad Days of Our Lives can help people who may be struggling.”
