Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Abby Empathetic Toward Gabi, How Can These Two Still be Friends?

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers for the week of September 18 reveal that Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) learns upsetting news. It is about “Chabby” and “Paulson” having a double wedding. Still healing from a broken heart, it makes her feel conflicted. Abigail (Marci Miller) is empathetic about the tough situation. However, how is it possible that these two women are still friends?

Abigail and Gabi have been friends for a long time. In fact, they were BFF’s. When Abby “died,” Gabi ended up having a romance with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn.) When Abigail returned to Salem alive, it created a frustrated love triangle that has finally come to an end.

That means while one couple reunited, one character is left with a broken heart. Gabi knows that she needs to move on, but it’s hard for her when she keeps seeing “Chabby” together.

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers tease that Gabi hears about the double wedding from Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith.) She wants to be there for Sonny and Paul Narita (Christopher Sean.) However, her heartbreak is still too fresh. Can she really handle watching Chad and Abigail exchange vows?

Even though Abby is finally going after what – and who – she wants, she still feels bad for Gabi. They have a long history together. They did have some tense moments during the love triangle, but somehow remained friends.

To be clear, Gabi didn’t steal Chad DiMera. Everyone thought Abby was dead, which made him single and available. When Abigail returned to Salem, Gabi backed off. It is true that she and Chad kept finding themselves in awkwardly close situations. However, Gabi never intended to come between “Chabby.”

Remember, it was Abigail who walked away from her marriage. Not only did she get a divorce, but she practically pushed Chad and Gabi together. “Chabby” reconciling would only happen after a near-fatal hit and run.

It makes sense that the two women are civil because the love triangle had no malicious intent. However, for them to remain good friends seems a bit of a stretch. When Abigail looks at Gabi, she must be reminded of what happened. To have them reconnect as friends years down the road makes more sense.

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers reveal that Abigail will have a shocking pre-wedding request. It was not explained exactly what that request is, but could it have something to do with Gabi?
