‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Joseph Ferrante Joins DOOL Cast As Marcus

“Days of Our Lives,” will soon be getting a new actor, but it’s not what you imagine! According to a post on social media, a new actor will take a turn as a character crucial to an upcoming storyline involving the dastardly Deimos Kiriakis (Vincent Irizarry). Are you ready to see Deimos running around Salem in a –gasp- mask?

In an interesting turn of events, Joseph Ferrante is the second actor in recent days to post about this upcoming role on DOOL.

“Officially on board for an episode, playing MARCUS. Filming at the end of the month! #daysofourlives #nbc,” Ferrante posted on Instagram.

Soap Opera Spy reported that a leaked audition tape on Vimeo showed Myles Forster apparently running lines as the character of Marcus, opposite the character of Deimos Kiriakis.

The leaked video has since been deleted.

Regardless of who we eventually see in the role of Marcus, it sounds like it’s slated to be a one-time appearance. The most significant aspect to the story involves the chaos that Deimos will reportedly unleash in the future.

According to the dialogue in the leaked tape, Marcus will assist Deimos in a series of underhanded dealings. But the most shocking revelation is that Deimos plans to kill Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) if necessary!

Apparently Deimos resents Sonny for ruining his relationship with Nicole, usurping him within the family dynasty, and for having a magic amulet belonging to Deimos.

If this rumored storyline is indeed true, Deimos will resort to murder to get back the amulet. The Kiriakis men are bloodthirsty, so don’t be surprised if this plot plays out on our screens in the near future!
