Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: Ron Carlivati on Tragic Shooting Storyline & The Aftermath

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease the shooting storyline will send shockwaves throughout Salem. Affecting nearly all the characters, everyone will have an opinion. Families will struggle, and friendships could be torn apart. Then, there is how JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) will forgive himself for what he has done.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, head writer Ron Carlivati discussed the storyline. He explained that he had been planning it for quite some time. He felt it was important, even though it is controversial. Carlivati also understands that people are going to react in different ways. However, he hopes that it starts a discussion because it needs to be talked about.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will be angry. He will lash out at JJ, as well as his mother, Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves). His anger is so intense that it frightens Lani Price (Sal Stowers).

It was teased that the Salemites could be torn apart. Expect there to be tension between the Horton and Carver families. Abe will also blame the DiMeras for obvious reasons.

It won’t just affect the loved ones of JJ Deveraux and Theo Carver (Kyler Pettis). People will be taking sides. Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal the Salem detectives will have to investigate the shooting. Law enforcement officers will each have feelings about what happened.

There is also how Lani will deal with the situation. She is one of the people caught in the middle. She is a detective and knows what happened. She is JJ’s partner and girlfriend. However, she ends up feeling conflicted because she is also Abe’s daughter and the shooting victim is her little brother.

Sal Stowers explained that Lani just wants to help all the men in her life. It is hinted that she will try to be a mediator, but she can’t get through to Abe. Keep in mind that the victim’s father is also the mayor of Salem. Could he use his position to get justice?

During the summer, James Reynolds teased Abe’s future to CBS Soaps in Depth. He hinted that it would cause Abe to change. It won’t necessarily be in a bad way, but it will just be very different.
Ron Carlivati also said that while there will be conflict and divisions, the end will be about sorrow and forgiveness. So, it sounds like there might be a happy ending.
