“Days of Our Lives” cast, crew and fans are mourning the death of Brad Bufanda. The actor, who appeared on “DOOL” as Joe from 2002 to 2003 committed suicide, TMZ reported.
On November 1, the actor, who was best known for his role on Veronica Mars, jumped from a Los Angeles building. He was only 34 years old and had a long list of acting credits to his name.
The death came as a complete shock. It was reported that he did not have a history of substance abuse. A rep also stated that he didn’t appear to have any outward signs of emotional or psychological issues.
“Days of Our Lives” fans may remember him as Joe, one of the gang members that threatened Rex and Cassie. He and his cohorts threatened the twins when they first arrived in Salem.
That was not his only stint on “DOOL,” though. He is also credited with playing a utility worker on “Days of Our Lives.”
The suicide was confirmed to TMZ by a rep for Brad Bufanda. Just recently, he began using the name Bradley Joseph professionally.
A transient found the body and there was a suicide note attached. It gave the names of his parents. The note also issues a thank you to people in his life. It is not known if he gave a reason for ending his life.
His rep Kristen Solem released the following statement, “We are completely devastated for he was an extremely talented young actor and wonderful, caring human being,” Solem said in a statement. “He was reviving his career, having just completed two movies, and we are shocked and saddened by his passing. The family would appreciate privacy at this difficult time.”
