Coronation Street Stars Rob Mallard and Dan Brocklebank End Romance

It looks like these soap stars simply can’t handle the pressure of working with one another and being with each other at the same time. New reports indicate that ‘Coronation Street’ stars Rob Mallard and Dan Brocklebank have called it quits but still want to remain close friends.

According to Britain’s Metro, Daniel and Rob had a hard time separating their personal relationship from their professional one. That’s why they ended their romance several weeks ago.

One source told the publication, “It was a lot of pressure for both of them to be working on the same show and going out in the end, something had to give. They decided to part ways a couple of weeks ago but they’re still great friends and hope to remain that way.”

Both also have major ‘Coronation Street’ storylines. Dan’s character Billy Mayhew recently attended the funeral of his former lover after fighting for custody of his goddaughter Summer. Daniel, meanwhile, has recently been revealed as the attack of Ken Barlow before his drug overdose.
