Coronation Street Star Rhea Bailey Make Surprising Confession About Her Appearance And Bullying From Corrie Fans

‘Coronation Street’ star Rhea Bailey had to do something not many actresses in her position do, and that’s completely change her appearance. That’s because fans of the hit British soap drama hated her onscreen character, Caz Hammond so much so that they couldn’t even stand looking at Rhea on the street.

Rhea’s back-stabbing character Caz has been causing trouble for months now. And apparently, Corrie fans hate her so much that they have a hard time separating the real Rhea Bailey from the character she plays on the show. Caz was accused of being a creep and stalking her room mate Maria Connor on the show.

And now Rhea is confessing that she was forced to even change her hair color because Coronation Street fans were verbally abusing her whenever they saw her out and about.

The actress told the Manchester Evening News, “People were upset by Caz’s story and I would constantly have people shouting things at me in the street. I changed my hair to distance myself from the character. I’ve changed it back again now and as soon as I did people recognized me again.”

But now that they’ve seen Maria’s bad side and her affair with Eva’s fiancé Aidan, fans are beginning to sympathize with Caz. Many have even told Rhea that they miss her on the show. Caz was arrested after she pretended to murder Maria, even though she had a crush on her, too.

Rhea added, “They’re now saying ‘we miss her’ and ‘I like her.’ People are feeling more sympathy for her right now.”
