Coronation Street’s Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) is set to be in trouble next week when he gets caught up in a stabbing which is likely to end his life. If having his heart broken wasn’t bad enough got the young lad he is now going to get caught up in something much worse.
He and Sinead (Katie McGlynn) have been over for some time but he has been expressing hope that he may win her heart back after her fling with Daniel (Rob Mallard) comes crashing to an end. But his optimism may be cut short as the poor boy will not be finding romance next week but rather a trip to hospital which may result in death.

Chesney will be an innocent casualty in what appears to be an attack on the bistro. Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) is going to be the cause of this injury as he and his buddy Rich are arguing in the Bistro when Chesney walks in. The two are fighting over drug money and Roberts dodgy secret past. Things get heated but it is Chesney who will take the fall for this fight as Rich will shove a broken bottle into his neck. Chesney is stricken down by the surprise attack and could be fatally injured.
Thankfully there are others on scene to call an ambulance. Ironically it will Sinead who comes to his aid, she is the one he wanted to talk to and win back. But now he may never have the chance to tell her how he felt.

Sam Aston has been on the soap since he was a child and it would be awfully sad to see him leave. Chesney is a truly loveable character, one of very few who doesn’t have some form of criminal past or detrimental personality fault. So why kill off the nice guy? Surely this will anger many fans. The ordeal will take place next week.
