Coronation Street Spoilers: Toyah Battersby Reveals Her Pregnancy After Secret IVF Treatment

It has been an emotional rollercoaster on Coronation Street for Toyah and Peter as they have tried for a child. The couple put their plans to start a family on hold due to the drama with Ken Barlow. The who dunnit took over the soap for nearly a month. But Ken being pushed down the stairs has now simmered down into the back ground.

As we have seen, despite Peter’s protests, Toyah went ahead with the expensive IVF treatment on her own. She went to the hospital in secret and has concealed her possible pregnancy from him ever since.

Her confession was told to sister Leanne who was shocked but happy for her sibling. But, Leanne is struggling with her own relationship problems lately and may not be a reliable source of support for her sister.

Coronation Street spoilers indicate that Toyah will nervously take a pregnancy test this week, and it will reveal that the treatment has worked.

Understandably she will be overwhelmed with happiness, IVF treatment has a very low chance of success. But her main concern is now to tell Peter. He was adamant that they wait for Ken’s health to return before they had a baby. Will he see this as an act of betrayal?

Peter has a long history of alcoholism and violence, will this distrust bring out his worst qualities?  Or will there finally be some good baby news on the cobbles? After the death of Michelle and Steve’s baby and now the concern over Leanne’s child the street is not having luck with its infants.
