Coronation Street Spoilers: Steve McDonald Proposes To Leanne Battersby – Corrie Wedding In The Works?

After a shocking pregnancy, Leanne (Jane Danson) and Steve (Simon Gregson) are now the proud parents of their young son Oliver on Coronation Street. The two have become very close and have even decided to move in together to raise their child.

But, Coronation Street spoilers tease that Steve wants more than just parenthood between the two as he is getting ready for yet another proposal, not that we’re counting but this will be his seventh!

Coronation Street Spoilers: Wedding Drama On The Cobbles

Sadly, for Steve this romantic gesture may not go down well with Leanne, who instead of being over joyed, needs a stiff drink. Steve is a romantic, bless his heart, and after a short time with the mother of his child he begins to imagine an idyllic future where they are a solid family.

According to ITV Coronation Street spoilers, after Steve proposes Leanne will immediately tell him why it is a bad idea for the two to be married, crushing his dreams. She will then go off on a night out with her girlfriends instead of staying home with her son.

But not all hope is lost as when she reveals the news to friend Eva (Cath Tyldesley), Leanne shows a different side. Corrie spoilers hit that Leanne may have made a mistake in turning him down, and she may indeed have strong feelings for the Father of their child. What began as a one-night stand has quickly grown into mutual respect and even love. But will the pair take the leap into marriage? Will Steve finally get a happy ending?

After his last relationship with Michelle (Kym Marsh) fell apart, Steve has had a terrible time. The loss of his son and a major bout of depression have seen him struggle tremendously in the last year. But Oliver and Leanne have brought him back to life, perhaps he will finally become the fun loving cabbie he once was.
